2022 Tour De Pologne
The 2022 Tour de Pologne was the 79th edition of the Tour de Pologne road cycling stage race, which was part of the 2022 UCI World Tour. It started on 30 July in Kielce and finished on 5 August in Kraków. 2022 UCI World Tour
The 2022 UCI World Tour was a series of races that included thirty-one road bicycle racing, road cycling events throughout the 2022 in men's road cycling, 2022 cycling season. The tour started with the 2022 UAE Tour, UAE Tour on 20 February, and concluded with the 2022 Il Lombardia, Il Lombardia on 8 October. Events The 2022 calendar was announced in the autumn of 2021. Cancelled events Due to COVID-19 pandemic, COVID-19-related logistical concerns raised by teams regarding travel to Australia (including strict quarantine requirements), the Tour Down Under (18–23 January) and the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race (30 January) were cancelled. On 8 June 2022, the Benelux Tour (29 August – 4 September) was cancelled due to a pressurised calendar. On 17 June 2022, the Tour of Guangxi (13–18 October) was also cancelled due to travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Sergio Andrés Higuita García (born 1 August 1997) is a Colombian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career He moved to EF Education First from UCI Continental team in May 2019, having initially been set to join in the summer. In August 2019, he was named in the startlist for the 2019 Vuelta a España. In early 2020 he finished 3rd in Paris-Nice and won the best young rider jersey. In August 2020, he was named in the startlist for the 2020 Tour de France. He did not finish the Tour but the following year he placed 25th overall. Higuita moved to Bora–Hansgrohe for the 2022 season. On stage 6 of the 2022 Volta a Catalunya he went on a long distance attack with Richard Carapaz. The pair stayed away for over 100 kilometers and Higuita moved into the leader's jersey. Gerben Thijssen (born 21 June 1998) is a Belgian Road bicycle racing, road and Track cycling, track cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career Thijssen won the bronze medal at the 2015 UCI Juniors Track World Championships in the points race. He won the silver medal at the 2016–17 UCI Track Cycling World Cup in Apeldoorn in the team pursuit. In 2016, as a junior he won 2 stages in the Nations Cup Trofeo Karlsberg, the Omloop van de Vlaamse Gewesten and a Belgian Cup stage in Nederhasselt. He represented Belgium at the UCI Juniors Road World Championships in Qatar. In 2017, as a U23-rider he won the Grote Prijs Stad Sint-Niklaas and a stage in Olympia's Tour. Chełm
Chełm (; uk, Холм, Kholm; german: Cholm; yi, כעלם, Khelm) is a city in southeastern Poland with 60,231 inhabitants as of December 2021. It is located to the south-east of Lublin, north of Zamość and south of Biała Podlaska, some from the border with Ukraine.
