2022 Tennessee Senate Election
Elections for 17 of the 33 seats in Tennessee's State Senate were held on November 8, 2022. The election was concurrent with the Governor, U.S. House, and State House elections. The Tennessee Senate is the upper house of the U.S. state of Tennessee , Tennessee's state legislature, which is known formally as the Tennessee General Assembly. The Tennessee Senate has the power to pass resolutions concerning essentially any issue regarding the state, country, or world. The Senate also has the power to create and enforce its own rules and qualifications for its members. The Senate shares these powers with the Tennessee House of Representatives. The Senate alone has the power to host impeachment proceeding and remove impeached members of office with a 2/3 majority. Dawn White
Dawn White (born October 22, 1975) is an American politician and a Republican member of the Tennessee Senate representing the 13th district. She was formerly a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives representing District 37. White was elected to the Tennessee Senate in 2018, filling the seat vacated by Bill Ketron. Education White earned her BS in early childhood education and her MEd from Middle Tennessee State University. Tennessee's 13th Senate district is one of 33 districts in the Tennessee Senate. It has been represented by Republican Party (United States), Republican Dawn White since 2018, succeeding fellow Republican Bill Ketron. Geography District 13 is based in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Murfreesboro, including most of the city proper as well as Smyrna, Tennessee, Smyrna and La Vergne, Tennessee, La Vergne in western Rutherford County, Tennessee, Rutherford County. Foy W. "Bo" Watson (born October 21, 1960) is an American politician and a Republican member of the Tennessee Senate, representing the 11th district since 2007. Richard Briggs (born 1952) is a Republican member of the Tennessee Senate representing the 7th district, which encompasses part of Knox County. Early life Richard Briggs was born on December 7, 1952. Rusty Crowe
Dewey "Rusty" Crowe (born April 2, 1947), is an American politician in the state of Tennessee. He is member of the Tennessee Senate representing the 3rd district, which encompasses Washington County, Unicoi County and Carter County. Crowe also serves as vice president of Shared Health Services in Johnson City, Tennessee and he is also President of Product Specialty Corporation of Franklin, Tennessee.
