2022 Oceania Women's Sevens Championship
The 2022 Oceania Women's Sevens Championship was held in Pukekohe, New Zealand on 24–26 June. It was the eleventh edition of the Oceania Championship in women's rugby sevens. The competition served as one of the final events for Oceania Rugby national teams ahead of the Commonwealth Games in July and the Sevens World Cup in September. It was played as a double round-robin format at Navigation Homes Stadium. Black Ferns Ma won the tournament, with Australia VII Selection as runner-up. Australia Women's National Rugby Sevens Team
The Australia women's national rugby sevens team, are the Australia national rugby sevens team of women. They were champions of the inaugural Women's Sevens World Cup in 2009. The team plays in the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series as one of the "core teams" on the world tour, of which they have been crowned Champions three times. The team also played in the preceding competition to the current world series, the IRB Women's Sevens Challenge Cup. In 2016, they won the inaugural gold medal at the Rio Summer Olympics. The 2023 Challenger Series for women's rugby sevens teams was the second season of the second-tier circuit that allowed a promotion pathway to the World Rugby Sevens Series. Fiji Women's National Rugby Sevens Team
The Fiji women's national rugby sevens team represents Fiji at regional and international sevens tournaments. They have won three Pacific Games gold medals, two Oceania Championships, a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the Summer Olympics. The New Zealand women's national rugby sevens team represents New Zealand in the World Rugby Sevens Series, Rugby World Cup Sevens, Summer Olympic Games and the Commonwealth Games.
