2022 OL Reign Season
The 2022 OL Reign season was the team's tenth season of play and their tenth season in the National Women's Soccer League, the top division of women's soccer in the United States. In December 2021, the team announced that it would start playing its home games at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. OL Reign
OL Reign is an American professional Women's association football, women's soccer team based in Seattle, Washington. Founded by Bill and Teresa Predmore in 2012 as Seattle Reign FC, it was one of eight inaugural members of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). In 2020, Olympique Lyonnais#Ownership and finances, OL Groupe, the parent company of French clubs Olympique Lyonnais and Olympique Lyonnais Féminin, became the team's majority owner and rebranded to its current name, badge, and colors. Laura Harvey is the team's head coach; she led the team to two consecutive NWSL Shield wins in 2014 and 2015 and a third in 2022. OL Reign has played its home matches at Lumen Field since 2022. Jimena López
Jimena López Fuentes (born 30 January 1999) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a left back for Icelandic club UMF Selfoss (on loan from OL Reign of the American National Women's Soccer League), as well as the Mexico women's national team. Club career On 14 January 2021, López was selected in the third round (28th overall) of the 2021 NWSL Draft by OL Reign. However, on 26 January 2021 she elected to sign with Spanish Primera División club Eibar. Sydney Football Club Women is an Australian women's football club based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It competes in the A-League Women, the top tier of women's football in Australia. The club is directly affiliated with Sydney FC. History Establishment The formation of the W-League in October 2008 saw the league composed of eight teams. Sofia Christine Huerta (born December 14, 1992) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a right back for OL Reign in the National Women's Soccer League and the U.S. women's national soccer team. Huerta played collegiately for the Santa Clara Broncos from 2011 to 2014, before beginning her professional career with the Chicago Red Stars. She was traded to Houston Dash in 2018 and to OL Reign in 2020. Alana Simone Cook (born April 11, 1997) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for NWSL club OL Reign and the United States national team. The Philadelphia Independence was an American professional soccer club that was based in the Philadelphia suburb of Chester, Pennsylvania.
