2022 McDonald's All-American Girls Game
The 2022 McDonald's All-American Girls Game was an all-star basketball game that was held on March 29, 2022. The game's rosters featured the best and most highly recruited high school girls graduating in the class of 2022. The game was the 20th annual version of the McDonald's All-American Game first played in 2002. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the game had not been held since 2019. The 24 players were selected from over 700 nominees by a committee of basketball experts. They were chosen not only for their on-court skills, but for their performances off the court as well. Rosters Eleven of the 24 players headed to the Pac-12 Conference, while the SEC and ACC each grabbed 5. Arizona, Oregon, Oregon State, South Carolina, Stanford, UCLA, and UConn each lead the way with 2 McDonald's All-Americans. Wintrust Arena
Wintrust Arena at McCormick Square, previously referred to as DePaul Arena or McCormick Place Events Center, is a 10,387-seat sports venue in the Near South Side community area of Chicago that opened in 2017. It is the current home court for the men's and women's basketball teams of DePaul University and serves as an events center for McCormick Place. It also is the home of the Chicago Sky of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Grandview High School is the third-largest high school in the Cherry Creek School District. Grandview opened in 1998 as the district's fifth high school, built to accommodate a population boom in the district's growing southeastern region. The Georgia Lady Bulldogs basketball team represents the University of Georgia in basketball. The Lady Bulldogs are a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). The "Lady Dawgs," as they are sometimes called, play in Stegeman Coliseum in Athens, Georgia. They have historically been among collegiate Womens Basketball's best programs. Montverde Academy is a private PK–12 school in Montverde, Florida, United States. History The school was founded in 1912 as Montgomery Industrial School. The school president was Henry P. Carpenter. It underwent a major expansion in 1921, when two new buildings were built for a cost of almost $40,000, including a concrete block dormitory for 200 boys and a new dining hall. The expansion was funded by donations, including $11,000 from R. Jay Arnold of Groveland, Florida. This expansion brought the organization to a total of eight buildings on 200 acres and $150,000 worth of equipment. The UCLA Bruins women's basketball program was established in 1974. The current coach is Cori Close. The team was a member of the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) until joining the NCAA in 1984.
