2022 Liga Sudamericana De Básquetbol
The 2022 Liga Sudamericana de Básquetbol was the 25th season of the Liga Sudamericana de Básquetbol (LSB), the second tier of basketball in South America organised by FIBA Americas. It was the first edition since the 2019 season, after the league had a 3-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The season began 30 September 2022 and ended on 4 December 2022 with the Grand Final. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and Grand Final were all hosted in Buenos Aires. Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas (basketball), Botafogo was the defending champion, having won the 2019 title, but did not qualify for this season. Associação Bauru Basketball Team, Bauru won its second LSB championship after defeating Club San Martín de Corrientes, San Martín in the Grand Final. The Liga Sudamericana de Básquetbol (LSB), or FIBA Liga Sudamericana de Básquetbol (Portuguese: ''Liga Sul-Americana de Basquete'', English: ''South American Basketball League''), also commonly known as FIBA South American League, is the second-tier level South American professional basketball competition at the club level, with the first-tier level being the Basketball Champions League Americas. The competition is organized by the South American Basketball Association (ABASU), which operates as a regional sub-zone of FIBA Americas. The winner of each year's competition gets a place at the upcoming edition of the Basketball Champions League Americas. Liga Sorocabana de Basquete, or simply LSB, as it is known, is a Brazilian basketball team from Sorocaba, São Paulo (state), São Paulo state. The team receives financial support from partners such as Case, Flextronics, Intermédica and Objetivo Sorocaba.
