2022 Kosovan Local Elections
Local elections were held in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo on 23 April 2023. They were initially scheduled to be held in December 2022, but were subsequently postponed. The elections were held in the four Serb-majority municipalities of Leposavić, North Mitrovica, Zubin Potok and Zvečan, located in North Kosovo. The elections were boycotted by the biggest Serb political party in Kosovo, the Serb List, following its departure from Kosovan institutions and the resignation of their mayors in North Kosovo in November. Among the declared candidates, there were only two Serbs. Aleksandar Arsenijević, candidate for mayor of the North Mitrovica Municipality, withdrew his candidacy on 2 December. Only the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and Vetëvendosje (LVV) had mayoral candidates in all four municipalities. Kosovo
Kosovo ( sq, Kosova or ; sr-Cyrl, Косово ), officially the Republic of Kosovo ( sq, Republika e Kosovës, links=no; sr, Република Косово, Republika Kosovo, links=no), is a partially recognised state in Southeast Europe. Party Of Kosovo Serbs
The Party of Kosovo Serbs (PKS, sr, Партија косовских Срба, Partija kosovskih Srba) is a political party of the Serb minority in Kosovo, led by former Serb List leader Aleksandar Jablanović. The city of Leposavić is considered the strongest support of the party. History Jablanović was previously the Minister of Communities and Returns in the Government of Kosovo. Then Prime Minister Isa Mustafa dismissed him from office in February 2015 after a statement in which, as judged from Pristina, he insulted the mothers of Gjakova by calling the students of the attack on the bus with Serbs going to the cemetery "savages" and "freaks". ''Danas'' (, Serbo-Croatian for "today") is a United Group-owned daily newspaper of record published in Belgrade, Serbia. Flag of the Republic of Kosovo ( sq, Flamuri i Republikës së Kosovës, sr, Застава Републике Косово/Zastava Republike Kosovo) was adopted by the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo immediately following the unilateral declaration of independence of Kosovo of 17 February 2008. RTK 1 (English: ''Radio Television of Kosovo 1'', Albanian: ''Radio Televizioni i Kosovës 1'') is the first public television channel of Kosovo, providing general programming. As part of the Radio Television of Kosovo (RTK), a public service broadcaster, RTK 1 produces and airs newscasts, sports updates and talk shows of interest to Kosovo viewers. Kosovo Albanians
The Albanians of Kosovo ( sq, Shqiptarët e Kosovës, ), also commonly called Kosovo Albanians, Kosovar/Kosovan Albanians or Kosovars/Kosovans, constitute the largest ethnic group in Kosovo.
