2022 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup Qualification
The 2022 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup qualification were a series of regional qualification tournaments to determine the final four places at the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. Qualification tournaments were held in Africa, Asia, East-Asia Pacific and Europe. The Americas region qualifier was scratched and the United States qualified automatically as they were the only ICC associate member in the region who met the ICC's Event Pathway Participation Criteria. Qualified teams Africa The Africa regional qualifier was hosted by Botswana in September 2022. The participating teams were Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania and Uganda. Rwanda won the qualifier by defeating Tanzania in the final by six wickets, becoming the first Rwanda team to qualify for a Cricket World Cup in any format. 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup
The 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup was the first edition of the ICC Women's Under-19 Cricket World Cup, hosted by South Africa in 2023. The tournament was moved from its original slot at the end of 2021 to January 2023 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sixteen teams competed in the tournament, initially divided into four groups. India, England, Australia and New Zealand progressed to the semi-finals of the competition. In the semi-finals, India beat New Zealand by 8 wickets and England beat Australia by 3 runs. The final took place on 29 January 2023 at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom, and saw India beat England by 7 wickets to become the inaugural champions of the ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. Bandar Kinrara () is a township in Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia. The Ayer Hitam Forest Reserve is situated to its south. Mahika Gaur (born 9 March 2006) is an English cricketer who plays for Cumbria, North West Thunder, Manchester Originals and the England cricket team. She plays as a left-arm medium bowler. She played for the United Arab Emirates between 2019 and 2022, making her Twenty20 International debut against Indonesia at the age of 12. In August 2023, she was selected in her first squad for England, whilst still a student at Sedbergh School. Tabarak Dar ( ur, تبآراک ڈار; born 3 May 1976) is a Pakistani-born cricketer who played for Hong Kong and is now an umpire. He played as a specialist batsman, though his medium pace bowling yielded seven wickets at the 2001 ICC Trophy, which was his international debut. He has played two first-class games and four One Day Internationals for Hong Kong. Bangi ( Jawi: باڠي; ), alternately Bangi Lama, is a small town situated south of Hulu Langat District, Selangor, Malaysia.
