2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup
The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup was the third edition of the FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup, an annual women's international volleyball tournament contested by eight national teams that acts as a qualifier for the FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League. The tournament was held at Krešimir Ćosić Hall in Zadar, Croatia, between 28 and 31 July 2022. Croatia won the title, defeating Belgium in the final, and earned the right to participate in the 2023 Nations League replacing Belgium, the last placed challenger team in the 2022 edition. Puerto Rico defeated Colombia in the 3rd place match. Qualification A total of eight teams qualified for the tournament. The Puerto Rico women's national volleyball team is one of the more consistent teams of the NORCECA zone, Puerto Rico has taken one silver and two bronzes on the NORCECA Women's Volleyball Championship, one silver and three bronzes at the Pan-American Cup, and five silvers and one bronze at the Central American and Caribbean Games. The 2022 Women's European Volleyball League was the 13th edition of the annual Women's European Volleyball League, which featured women's national volleyball teams from 14 European countries. Ukraine was originally scheduled to host the Final Four tournament but due to 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine there will be no host nation.
