The 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) softball tournament was held at Vartabedian Field on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania May 11 through May 14, 2022. The event determined the champion of the Atlantic Coast Conference for the 2022 season. The winner of the tournament earned the ACC's bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I softball tournament. Lonni Alameda
Alana Maree "Lonni" Alameda (born June 11, 1970) is an American softball coach who is the current head coach at Florida State. She has been head coach at Florida State since 2009, in addition to the USSSA Pride of National Pro Fastpitch from 2016 to 2017. Alameda is also currently an assistant coach for Team Canada. Early life and education Alameda graduated from Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, California in 1988. After pitching at St. Mary's University, Texas in the 1989 season, during which St. Mary's made the NAIA Tournament, Alameda transferred to Oklahoma and went on to earn two second-team All- Big Eight awards on the softball team in addition to playing volleyball. 2022 Clemson Tigers Softball Team
The 2022 Clemson Tigers softball team was the varsity college softball team that represented Clemson University during the 2022 NCAA Division I softball season. This was the third season of Clemson's softball program. The Tigers competed in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and were led by head coach John Rittman. Clemson played its home games at McWhorter Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina. They finished the season 42–17 overall and 14–10 in ACC play to finish in fifth place. As the fifth seed in the 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference softball tournament, ACC tournament, they earned a bye into the Quarter finals where they defeated fourth seed Notre Dame. The Petersen Sports Complex (PSC) is a multi-sport athletic facility on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It houses Charles L. Cost Field, Vartabedian Field, and Ambrose Urbanic Field, the respective home practice and competition venues of the university's NCAA Division I varsity athletic baseball, softball, and men's and women's soccer teams. 2022 NCAA Division I Softball Tournament
The 2022 NCAA Division I softball tournament was held from May 20 through June 9, 2022, as the final part of the 2022 NCAA Division I softball season. The tournament culminated with the 2022 Women's College World Series at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. Format A total of 64 teams entered the tournament, with 32 of them receiving an automatic bid by either winning their conference's tournament or by finishing in first place in their conference.
