2021–22 Virginia Tech Hokies Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Virginia Tech Hokies men's basketball team represented Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Hokies are led by third-year head coach Mike Young and played their home games at Cassell Coliseum in Blacksburg, Virginia, as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 23–13, 11–9 in ACC play to finish in seventh place. As the No. 7 seed, they defeated Clemson, Notre Dame, North Carolina, and Duke to win the ACC tournament. Mike Young (basketball)
Michael Kent Young (born May 1, 1963) is an American college basketball coach and currently the head men's basketball coach at Virginia Tech. He was hired on April 7, 2019, after a 17-year stint where he went 299–244 () as the head coach at Wofford College. Career Born in Radford, Virginia, Young played collegiately at Emory & Henry College. After completing his career, which included serving as team captain during his junior and senior seasons, Young began his coaching career as an assistant coach at his alma mater. In 1988, he left Emory & Henry to serve one year as an assistant to Oliver Purnell at Radford University. In 1989, Young began his tenure as an assistant coach at Wofford. Tyrece Radford
Tyrece Martel D'Von Radford (born April 22, 1999) is an American college basketball player for the Texas A&M Aggies of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). He previously played for the Virginia Tech Hokies. High school career Radford played basketball for McKinley High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As a junior, he averaged 17.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. In his senior season, Radford averaged 22 points, six rebounds and four assists per game. Northern Arizona Lumberjacks Men's Basketball
The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks men's basketball team represents Northern Arizona University, located in Flagstaff, Arizona, in NCAA Division I men's competition. The school's team has competed in the Big Sky Conference since 1970. The team's most recent appearance in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament was in 2000. Gainesville is a census-designated place (CDP) in western Prince William County, Virginia, United States. The population was 17,287 in the 2020 census. History Gainesville was once a changing point for stagecoach horses on the Fauquier & Alexandria Turnpike. In earlier times, the village that became known as “Gainesville” actually had two other names, if only briefly. In colonial days, the region was known as the “Middle Grounds,” in reference to its location between Broad Run and Bull Run. North Andover is an affluent town in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States. At the 2020 census the population was 30,915. History Native Americans inhabited what is now northeastern Massachusetts for thousands of years prior to European colonization of the Americas. Early life and high school career Diarra grew up in Harlem, New York, and broke his foot at the age of two. The George Washington Colonials men's basketball team represents George Washington University in the United States' capital, Washington, D.C. It plays its home games in the Charles E.
