2021–22 Sacramento Kings Season
The 2021–22 NBA season was the 77th season for the Sacramento Kings in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and 38th season in the city of Sacramento, California, Sacramento. The Kings entered the season with the List of NBA franchise post-season droughts, longest NBA playoff appearance drought in league history with 15 seasons, tying the record with the Los Angeles Clippers. The last time the team had qualified for the playoffs was in 2006 NBA playoffs, 2006. In the 2021 NBA draft, the Kings selected Davion Mitchell from Baylor University with the ninth pick. On November 22, head coach Luke Walton was fired after a mediocre 6–11 start; he was then replaced by Alvin Gentry on an interim basis. For the 16th season in a row, the Sacramento Kings failed to reach the Playoffs, and thus passing the Clippers for the longest playoff drought in NBA history. Luke Walton
Luke Theodore Walton (born March 28, 1980) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played 10 seasons in the NBA as a forward, winning two NBA championships with the Los Angeles Lakers. He also won a title as an assistant coach with the Golden State Warriors before serving as the head coach of the Lakers from 2016 through 2019. Additionally, Walton served as the head coach of the Sacramento Kings from 2019 to 2021. Walton played college basketball with the Arizona Wildcats. The 2021 NBA draft, the 75th edition of the National Basketball Association's annual draft, was held on July 29, 2021, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Harrison Barnes
Harrison Bryce Jordan Barnes (born May 30, 1992) is an American professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels before being selected by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 2012 NBA draft with the seventh overall pick. The 2021–22 Phoenix Suns season was their 54th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as well as their 29th season at the currently named Footprint Center, their first full season under that name after taking over the naming rights to the previously named Phoenix Suns Arena on July 16, 2021, during the 2021 NBA Finals. NBA G League
The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. The league started with eight teams until NBA commissioner David Stern announced a plan to expand the NBA D-League to 15 teams and develop it into a true minor league farm system, with each NBA D-League team affiliated with one or more NBA teams in March 2005. Roy Rana
Roy Rana (born December 8, 1968) is a Canadian professional basketball coach who is the head coach for the Kyoto Hannaryz of the B.League and head coach of the Egyptian men's national basketball team. Mike Longabardi
Michael Longabardi (born February 23, 1973) is an American basketball assistant coach for the Delaware Blue Coats of the NBA G League. The Utah State Aggies are a Division I men's college basketball team that plays in the Mountain West Conference, representing Utah State University. Neemias Esdras Barbosa Queta (born 13 July 1999) is a Portuguese professional basketball player for the Sacramento Kings of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Stockton Kings of the NBA G League.
