2021–22 Odisha Women's League
The 2021–22 Odisha Women's League was the 9th edition of the Odisha Women's League, the top Odia professional football league, since its establishment in 2011. Rising Students Club are the defending champions. The league is organised by the Football Association of Odisha (FAO), the official football governing body of Odisha, in association with the Department of Sports and Youth Services (DSYS) of the Government of Odisha. On 10 February 2022, the jersey launch ceremony for the 2021–22 season was held in the presence of Principal Secretary of the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Vineel Krishna, and the Honorary Secretary of the Football Association of Odisha (FAO), Avijit Paul, at the Kalinga Stadium. Odisha Women's League
The Odisha Women's League (OWL), previously known as the FAO Women's League, is the women's top division football league of Odisha. The league is among the existing top tier women's football leagues in India. The league is organised every year by the apex football governing body of Odisha, the Football Association of Odisha (FAO), in association with the Department of Sports and Youth Services (DSYS) of the Government of Odisha. It is currently contested by 6 clubs across the state. Since the inception of the Odisha Women's League, a total of four clubs have been crowned champions. East Coast Railway Zone
The East Coast Railway (abbreviated ECoR) is one of the 19 railway zones of Indian Railways. It came into existence on 1 April 2003. The headquarters of the zone are at Bhubaneswar, Odisha History Consequent upon the parliament's approval, East Coast Railway was the first of the seven new zones to be inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India H. D. Deve Gowda on 8 August 1996. The Officer-on-Special Duty took over charge of the newly declared Zone on 16 September 1996. Bhubaneswar (; ) is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Odisha. 2021–22 Indian Women's League Season
The 2021–22 Indian Women's League season (also known as Hero Indian Women's League for sponsorship reasons) was the fifth season of the Indian Women's League, the top division Women's association football, women's Association football, professional football league in India. The qualifying round was held from 1–5 April at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi. The final round was scheduled to kick-off from mid-April in Bhubaneswar, Odisha and continue till the last week of May. On 26 May, Gokulam Kerala FC (women), Gokulam Kerala successfully defended their title with a convincing win against Sethu FC, Sethu in a title decider on the last matchday, and became the first club to do it. Pyari Xaxa (born 18 May 1997) is an Indian women's international footballer who plays as a forward for Odisha FC and the India national team. Club career Xaxa began her football career with the club Kunwarmunda based in her home State of Odisha. In 2016, she was signed by Rising Student to play in the inaugural season of the Indian Women's League. She finished the season with 14 goals, with ten in the preliminary and four in the final round. Mohammad Shahid Jabbar
Mohammad Shahid Jabbar is an Indian football coach and former footballer. He served as the head coach of the India women's national football team from 2010 to 2012, and currently as the head coach of Odisha women's football team. Capital High School, located in Bhubaneswar, is one of the oldest schools in the Indian state of Odisha and was established in 1951.
