2021–22 Forest Green Rovers F.C. Season
The 2021–22 season is Forest Green Rovers' 133rd year in their history and fifth consecutive season in League Two. Along with the league, the club will also compete in the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the EFL Trophy. The season covers the period from 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2022. During pre-season, FGR announced Rob Edwards as their Head Coach. Pre-season friendlies ''FGR'' announced they will have friendlies against Melksham Town, Yate Town, Cardiff City, Leamington, Swansea City and Yeovil Town as part of their pre-season preparations. Leamington Spa
Royal Leamington Spa, commonly known as Leamington Spa or simply Leamington (), is a spa town and civil parish in Warwickshire, England. Originally a small village called Leamington Priors, it grew into a spa town in the 18th century following the popularisation of its water which was reputed to have medicinal qualities. Nailsworth is a town and civil parish in Gloucestershire, England, lying in one of the Stroud Valleys in the Cotswolds, on the A46 road (the Roman Fosse Way), south of Stroud and about north-east of Bristol and Bath. Yate is a town and civil parish in South Gloucestershire, England. It lies just to the southwest of the Cotswolds, Cotswold Hills and is northeast of Bristol city centre and from the centre of Bath, Somerset, Bath, with regular rail services to Bristol and Gloucester. Melksham () is a town on the River Avon in Wiltshire, England, about northeast of Trowbridge and south of Chippenham. At the 2011 census, the Melksham built-up area had a population of 19,357, making it Wiltshire's fifth-largest settlement after Swindon, Salisbury, Chippenham and Trowbridge. Jake Alan Young (born 22 July 2001) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Bradford City. Young joined Sheffield United from Guiseley in 2019, though moved on to Forest Green Rovers in July 2020 without playing a first-team game for Sheffield United. Taylor Ellis Allen (born 16 June 2000) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender or midfielder for club Walsall.
