2021–22 Football Superleague Of Kosovo
The 2021–22 Football Superleague of Kosovo season, also known as the BKT Superleague of Kosovo ( sq, BKT Superliga e Kosovës) for sponsorship reasons with Banka Kombëtare Tregtare is the 23rd season of top-tier football in Kosovo. The season began on 21 August 2021 and ended on 22 May 2022. A total of 10 teams are competing in the league: seven teams from the 2020–21 season and three teams from the 2020–21 First Football League of Kosovo. Prishtina are the defending champions from the previous season. Teams Ten teаms will compete in the leаgue – the top seven teаms from the previous season and the three teams promoted from the First Football League of Kosovo. The Football Superleague of Kosovo ( sq, Superliga e Futbollit të Kosovës), also known as the ALBI MALL Superleague of Kosovo ( sq, ALBI MALL Superliga e Kosovës) for sponsorship reasons with Albi Mall, is the top level of the Kosovar football league system. The Superleague is organized by the Football Federation of Kosovo and the division currently has a 10-team format. The clubs play each other four times during the season for a 36-match schedule. At the end of the season, the bottom two teams in the division are relegated to the second tier, First Football League of Kosovo. The Superleague ran outside FIFA and UEFA until Kosovo was admitted to both organizations, on 3 May 2016. KF Malisheva () is a professional football club from Kosovo which competes in the Superleague of Kosovo. The club is based in Malishevë. Their home ground is the Liman Gegaj Stadium which has a seating capacity of 1,800. Malisheva was promoted to the Kosovo Superleague in 2021. The Bajram Aliu is a multi-use stadium in Skenderaj, Kosovo. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Drenica of the Kosovar Superliga. The stadium holds 9,000 people. It was built prior to the Kosovo War. After a 25-year attempt to join the UEFA (and by extension FIFA), Kosovo was permitted to join in 2016, which opened them up to much-needed financial sponsorship that would be put into renovating and restoring existing football facilities.
