2021–22 Florida State Seminoles Men's Basketball Team
The 2021–22 Florida State Seminoles men's basketball team represented Florida State University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Seminoles were led by head coach Leonard Hamilton, in his 20th year, and played their home games at the Donald L. Tucker Center on the university's Tallahassee, Florida campus as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Seminoles finished the season 17–14 overall and 10–10 in ACC play to finish in eight place. As the eighth seed in the ACC tournament, they lost to Syracuse in their Second Round matchup. They were not invited to the NCAA tournament or the NIT. Leonard Hamilton
James Leonard Hamilton (born August 4, 1948) is an American basketball coach and the current men's basketball head coach at Florida State University. He is a former head coach at Oklahoma State University, the University of Miami, and for the National Basketball Association's Washington Wizards. In his 33 years as a collegiate head coach, his teams have qualified for 12 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournaments and 11 National Invitation Tournaments, highlighted by appearances in the NCAA Tournament's Elite Eight (2018) and Sweet 16 (2011, 2019, 2021) with Florida State, as well as a Sweet 16 appearance with Miami (2000). Tappahannock is the oldest town in Essex County, Virginia, United States. The population was 2,375 at the 2010 census, up from 2,068 at the 2000 census.
