Regular season Standings Each team played 48 games, playing each of the other sixteen teams three times. 1st Czech Republic Hockey League
The Chance Liga is the second-highest level of professional ice hockey in the Czech Republic, after the Extraliga. It began in 1993 and is run and administered by Czech Ice Hockey Association. Until 2015, the league was known as the 1st Czech National Hockey League. It was then known as the WSM Liga until 2018. Format In the first phase, every team plays each other four times—twice at home and twice away—which makes for a 52-game regular season. After the 52-game regular season, the first six teams directly qualify for the quarter-finals, while teams which placed 7 to 10 play a round-robin to determine the final two participants in the quarter-finals. HC Vrchlabí
HC Stadion Vrchlabí is an ice hockey team in Vrchlabí, Czech Republic. They play in the Czech 2.liga, the second level of ice hockey in the country. The club was founded in 1948. They were promoted to the 1.liga in 2007, by virtue of winning the Czech 2.liga. The organization folded due to financial problems in 2011. The club was almost immediately restarted, and has been playing in the Czech 2.liga since. Jakub Málek (born April 11, 2002) is a Czech professional ice hockey goaltender for Tampereen Ilves of the SM-liiga as a prospect to the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL). Playing career Málek made his first professional start at 16 years old on January 30, 2019, for VHK Vsetín of the second-tier Czech Chance Liga against HC Stadion Litoměřice, but was pulled midway through the match after conceding four goals. In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues.
