The 2021–22 Creighton Bluejays women's basketball team represents Creighton University in the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. Jim Flanery
James William Flanery II (born February 8, 1965) is the head women's basketball coach at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska Nebraska () is a state in the Midwestern region of the United States. Career In his first five years coaching at Creighton, the team made the WNIT three times, and the NCAA Tournament in 2012. In 2004, Creighton won the 2004 WNIT Championship. In his first season, he won 24 games, the most ever by a Creighton rookie head coach. Flanery previously served as an assistant at Creighton for 11 years. He also served as an assistant basketball coach at Loras College. Knapp Center
The Knapp Center is a 6,424-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, United States. It was built in 1992. The Knapp Center is the center building for three athletic buildings combined. The Bell Center to the west is a general athletic building with offices, a pool, gym, and locker rooms. To the east is the Shivers' Basketball Practice facility, which opened in 2014. The Knapp Center itself also holds a weight room by the northwest corner of the basketball court. The namesake of the arena comes from William Knapp, who is the chairman of Iowa Realty and a member of the Drake University Board of Trustees. He played a key role in financing the arena with a $3 million gift towards construction. Two human polls make up the 2021–22 NCAA Division I women's basketball rankings, the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll, in addition to various publications' preseason polls. Legend AP Poll USA Today Coaches Poll The Coaches Poll is the second oldest poll still in use after the AP Poll. It is compiled by a rotating group of 31 college Division I head coaches. The Poll operates by Borda count. Each voting member ranks teams from 1 to 25. Each team then receives points for their ranking in reverse order: Number 1 earns 25 points, number 2 earns 24 points, and so forth. The points are then combined and the team with the highest points is then ranked No. 1; second highest is ranked No. 2 and so forth. Only the top 25 teams with points are ranked, with teams receiving first place votes noted the quantity next to their name. The maximum points a single team can earn is 775.
