2021–22 Arizona State Sun Devils Men's Ice Hockey Season
The 2021–22 Arizona State Sun Devils men's ice hockey season was the 7th season of play for the program at the NCAA Division I, Division I level. The Sun Devils represented Arizona State University and were coached by Greg Powers, in his 10th season. Season Arizona State spent their entire season hovering around the .500 mark. The team alternated short winning and losing streaks and were only one more than 3 away from an even record. Despite this consistent mediocrity, ASU had put themselves, partly due to the difficulty of their schedule, into a potential NCAA tournament appearance by mid-January. The Arizona State Sun Devils men's ice hockey team is the college ice hockey team that represents Arizona State University. It plays its home games at Mullett Arena in Tempe. The Sun Devils initially competed in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA). Since the 2015–16 season, it has competed as an independent in NCAA Division I—one of only three teams to do so. The Minnesota State Mavericks men's ice hockey team is an NCAA Division I college ice hockey program that represents Minnesota State University, Mankato. HC Kunlun Red Star () is a Chinese ice hockey club that joined the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) prior to the 2016–17 season. The Hartford Wolf Pack are a professional ice hockey team based in Hartford, Connecticut. A member of the American Hockey League (AHL), they play their home games at the XL Center. The UConn Huskies men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents the University of Connecticut.
