The 2021–22 American Athletic Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2021, followed by the start of the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season on November 9, 2021. Conference play began December 15, 2021, and concluded with the 2022 American Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament, held March 10–13, 2022, at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. Scheduling returned to the previous format: an 18-game schedule in which every team in The American played eight of its 10 conference opponents twice and the other two opponents once—one at home and one on the road. Cincinnati Bearcats Men's Basketball
The Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball program represents the University of Cincinnati in Cincinnati, Ohio. John Brannen (born January 18, 1974) is an American basketball coach currently serving as a program analyst and senior special assistant for the University of Dayton Dayton Flyers men's basketball, Flyers. Isaac Brown (basketball)
Isaac Leon Brown (born May 7, 1969) is an American college basketball coach who was most recently the head coach at Wichita State. Playing career Brown is a native of Pascagoula, Mississippi. He played basketball at Pascagoula High School and helped the team reach the state championship game in 1988. Brown played at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College from 1988 to 1990. He played one season at Texas A&M, averaging 12 points and 2.3 rebounds per game while starting 17 games, but was dismissed in February 1991 by coach Kermit Davis. Brown decided to transfer to Northeast Louisiana. After sitting out a season, he helped Northeast Louisiana capture the 1993 Southland Conference title with a 17–1 record, finish 27–4 overall and receive a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Tyson Etienne (born September 17, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the College Park Skyhawks of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Wichita State Shockers. High school career Etienne began playing high school basketball as a freshman at Dwight-Englewood School in Englewood, New Jersey. Quentin Marshall Grimes (born May 8, 2000) is an American professional basketball player for the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). 2021 National Invitation Tournament
The 2021 National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 16 NCAA Division I men's college basketball teams that had not been selected to participate in the 2021 NCAA tournament. The Tournament began on March 17 and ended on March 28. All rounds were played at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas or the UNT Coliseum in Denton, Texas. First-round games began on Wednesday, March 17, and was played through Saturday, March 20. Quarterfinals also took place Thursday, March 25.
