The Juans
The Juans (stylized in lowercase) is a Filipino pop rock band based in Bulacan, Philippines. It currently consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Carl Guevarra, vocalist and lead guitarist Japs Mendoza, vocalist and bassist Chael Adriano, and vocalist and acoustic guitarist RJ Cruz. History The Juans was initially categorized as a boy band, but the management team decided to recategorize them as a conventional band. Jiad Arroyo was a founding member, along with Daniel Grospe. Carl Guevarra, Jason de Mesa, and Japs Mendoza joined later. The band was initially named at a coffee shop shortly after a One Direction concert, where the boys were mulling the British boy band's popularity. Angela Ken
Angela Ken Tavares Rojas (born May 16, 2002), better known as Angela Ken, is a Filipinos, Filipino singer-songwriter, dancer, occasional actress and influencer. She gained acclaim on social networking service TikTok. After releasing her Single (music), single "Ako Naman Muna", she signed with Star Magic, a talent agency under ABS-CBN Corporation. Angela is also a member of the Squad Plus. In 2022, Angela made her acting debut in the iWantTFC musical series titled ''Lyric and Beat'' as Verlyn. Novelty Song
A novelty song is a type of song built upon some form of novel concept, such as a gimmick, a piece of humor, or a sample of popular culture. Novelty songs partially overlap with comedy songs, which are more explicitly based on humor, and with musical parody, especially when the novel gimmick is another popular song. Novelty songs achieved great popularity during the 1920s and 1930s. They had a resurgence of interest in the 1950s and 1960s. The term arose in Tin Pan Alley to describe one of the major divisions of popular music; the other two divisions were ballads and dance music. Herminio Jose Lualhati "Ogie" Alcasid Jr. (; born August 27, 1967) is a Filipino singer-songwriter, television presenter, comedian, parodist, and actor. He is currently the President of OPM (Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-Aawit). Early career Ogie is a former batch member of the all-male singing group '' Kundirana'' batch 1984 after Gary Valenciano. Pop Music
Pop music is a genre of popular music that originated in its modern form during the mid-1950s in the United States and the United Kingdom. UMG Philippines Inc. is a record label based in the Philippines and served as its regional branch of the multinational music corporation, Universal Music Group. Formerly known as MCA Music, the record label previously retained the now-discontinued MCA name on legal purposes because of a trademark dispute with an unrelated label known as Universal Records, which preempted the rights to the word "Universal" for recorded music in the Philippines. Munimuni
Munimuni is a Filipino indie folk band from Quezon City, Philippines. The band currently consists of Adj Jiao (guitar, vocals), John Owen Castro (flute, vocals), Jolo Ferrer (bass), Josh Tumaliuan (drums), and Ben Ayes (guitar). History Formation (2012-2013) Munimuni were formed in UP Diliman, where TJ de Ocampo met Adj Jiao who was, at that time, doing a musical project with Red Calayan. They figured out that they had similar tastes in music, so they started writing and arranging songs together. A year after their start, de Ocampo was sent to Japan as an exchange student, and the band added John Owen Castro as the band's session keyboardist.
