2021 World Wrestling Championships – Men's Freestyle 65 Kg
The men's freestyle 65 kilograms is a competition featured at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships, and was held in Oslo, Norway on 3 and 4 October. This freestyle wrestling competition consists of a single-elimination tournament, with a repechage used to determine the winner of two bronze medals. The two finalists face off for gold and silver medals. Each wrestler who loses to one of the two finalists moves into the repechage, culminating in a pair of bronze medal matches featuring the semifinal losers each facing the remaining repechage opponent from their half of the bracket. Nye Jordal Amfi
Jordal Amfi (often called Nye Jordal Amfi) is an indoor ice hockey arena, located in the Jordal district of Oslo, Norway. The 5,300-spectator arena is part of the multi-sports complex Jordal Idrettspark and serves as the home of Eliteserien (ice hockey) side Vålerenga Ishockey. Construction on the new arena started in January 2017, with completion in September 2020. History The 2020 Jordal Amfi is the second ice hockey arena to be built on the site. The first arena was completed in 1951, in time for the 1952 Winter Olympics. In June 2016, the city council of Oslo approved the construction of a new arena on the site. Construction work started in January 2017. The new arena opened 10 October 2020 with a game in which Vålerenga beat Grüner Ishockey, Grüner 4–1. He competed in the Wrestling at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's freestyle 57 kg, men's freestyle 57 kg event at the 2016 Summer Olympics, in which he was eliminated in the round of 16 by Haji Aliyev. He competed in the 2022 World Wrestling Championships – Men's freestyle 65 kg, 65kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. He competed at the 2024 Asian Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan hoping to qualify for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. Yianni Diakomihalis
John Michael "Yianni" Diakomihalis (born April 11, 1999) is an American freestyle and folkstyle wrestler who competes at 70 kilograms. A two-time US National champion in freestyle, he formerly competed at 65 kilograms, where he was the 2022 World silver medalist, a two-time Pan American champion and a two-time U17 World champion, amongst other feats. While in college, Diakomihalis became the fifth four-time NCAA Division I champion in history out of Cornell University. Career High school Diakomihalis attended Hilton High School in Hilton, New York, along with his brother Greg, who would go on to become a five-time NYSPHSAA champion himself. In eight grade, he won the Division I state championship at 99 pounds, defeating eventual Cornell teammate Vito Arujau in the finals.
