The 2021 World RX of Sweden was the second round of the eighth season of the FIA World Rallycross Championship. The event was held at the Höljesbanan in Värmland, Sweden. The first round of the RX1 class, and the second round of the RX3 class in the 2021 FIA European Rallycross Championship were also held at the event. Höljesbanan
Höljesbanan, also known as Höljes Motorstadion, is a rallycross circuit situated in the village of Höljes, in the Finnskogen ('Finnwoods') of the Swedish county Värmland, beside the river Klarälven and close to the Norwegian border. The circuit opened in February 1976 and is one of the most famous rallycross circuits in the world. Traditionally held over the first weekend of July the venue plays host to the so-called 'Magic Weekend' of rallycross when it runs the Swedish round of the European and World Rallycross championships. History The circuit was originally part of a go-kart centre opened in 1972 by the Finnskoga Motorklubb following the influx of Swedish drivers into Formula One, but quickly fell into disuse and it was decided the nearby gravel pit was to be turned into a rallycross circuit in October 1974. The Å koda Fabia is a supermini car produced by Czech manufacturer Å koda Auto since 1999. It is the successor of the Å koda Felicia, which was discontinued in 2001. Andreas Bakkerud (born 10 October 1991) is a rallycross driver from Bergen, Norway. He has competed in the FIA Rallycross Supercar class since 2013 in both Euro RX and World RX, and Nitro Rallycross since 2021. He became European Champion in 2021. Biography Bakkerud won the FIA European Rallycross Championship in the Super1600 category twice, in 2011 and 2012. He entered the FIA European Rallycross Supercar class in 2013 with a private Citroën DS3, finishing fourth with two wins. In 2014 he joined the FIA World Rallycross Championship Supercar class, driving a Ford-supported Olsbergs MSE Fiesta. SEAT Ibiza

Anton Marklund (born 9 December 1992) is a Swedish racing driver who won the 2017 FIA European Rallycross Championship. He has competed most of his career for his father's team Marklund Motorsport. Career Marklund entered five rounds of the 2011 European Rallycross Championship for Marklund Motorsport with a Ford Fiesta TouringCar, scoring a third-place finish at Sweden. In the 2011 European Rallycross Championship he scored two wins and six second-place finishes, claiming the TouringCar title. Olsbergs MSE, which also competes under the title OMSE, is an auto racing team founded by Swedish former rally champion Andréas Eriksson as Motorsport Evolution (MSE) in 2005.
