2021 Women's National Invitation Tournament
The 2021 Women's National Invitation Tournament was a tournament of 32 NCAA Division I teams that were not selected to participate in the 2021 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament. The tournament committee announced the 32-team field on March 15, 2021, following the selection of the NCAA Tournament field. The tournament began on March 19, 2021, with the championship game on March 28, 2021. Rice won its first WNIT championship. All games were streamed on FloSports. Format changes Changes were made in order to ensure continued viability for the tournament during the COVID-19 pandemic. The field of teams was halved from 64 to 32. Games were not held on-campus; instead there were regional sites. Each conference was not guaranteed an automatic bid as they have been in the past. Collierville High School
Collierville High School is a public high school (grades 9–12) located in Collierville, Tennessee which operates under the administration of Collierville Schools. It was previously under the authority of Shelby County Schools until Collierville Schools splintered from it in 2014. 2020–21 Colorado Buffaloes Women's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Colorado Buffaloes women's basketball team represented the University of Colorado Boulder during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Buffaloes, were led by fifth year head coach JR Payne, played their home games at the CU Events Center and are a member of the Pac-12 Conference. The Buffaloes finished the season 12–11, 8–8 in Pac-12 play to finish in sixth place. In the Pac-12 Tournament they were upset by eleventh seed Washington in the first round. They received an at-large bid to the WNIT. They defeated Louisiana and Nebraska before losing to Ole Miss in the quarterfinals to end their season. Previous season The Buffaloes finished the season 16–14, 5–13 in Pac-12 play to finish in a tie for ninth place. The 2020–21 Arizona State Sun Devils women's basketball team represented Arizona State University during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Sun Devils, were led by twenty fourth-year head coach Charli Turner Thorne, playing their home games at the Desert Financial Arena and are members of the Pac-12 Conference. The WAC covers a broad expanse of the Western United States with member institutions located in Arizona, California, Texas, Utah and Washington (state), Washington.
