2021 Women's British Open Squash Championship
The Women's 2021 Allam British Open was the women's edition of the 2021 British Open Squash Championships, which is a 2020–21 PSA World Tour event. The event took place at the Sports Complex at the University of Hull in Hull in England between August 16 and 22, 2021. The event was sponsored by Dr Assem Allam. The event was arranged for June instead of May because of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom and then rearranged for August. The 2020 event had also been cancelled due to the pandemic. Nour El Sherbini defeated Nouran Gohar in an all Egyptian final, which saw Nour El Sherbini winning the title for the third time. Joshna Chinappa
Joshna Chinappa (born 15 September 1986) is an Indian professional squash player. She reached a career-high world ranking of World No. 10 in July 2016. She was the first Indian to win the British Junior Squash Championship title in 2005 in the under-19 category and was also the youngest Indian women's national champion. She is the current record-holder of most national championship wins, with 18 titles. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games Joshna, along with Dipika Pallikal Karthik, won the squash women's doubles gold medal, India's first-ever Commonwealth Games medal in the sport. Rowan Reda Araby or Rowan Elaraby (born 29 July 2000 in Alexandria) is an Egyptian professional squash player. As of April 2022, she was ranked number 8 in the world. Araby won the 2022 Carol Weimoller Women's Squash Championship, after defeating Malaysian player Sivasanjari Subramaniam 3–1, for the first time in her history. Olivia Clyne, (née Blatchford; born January 23, 1993 in New York City) is a professional squash player who represents the United States. Career Blatchford's junior accomplishments included winning the British Junior Open Girls under-15 event in 2007. Sivasangari Subramaniam (born 24 January 1999, in Sungai Petani) is a Malaysian professional squash player. As of May 2022, she was ranked number 20 in the world. She became the 2018 British Junior Open Champion by defeating Satomi Watanabe. Personal life Sivasangari was born in Sungai Petani, Kedah to Valli Nagappan and Subramaniam Kaniappan. She started playing squash at the age of eight. She is a former student of SMK Sultanah Asma and obtained her GCE Ordinary Level from Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar.
