2021 Washington Football Team Season
The 2021 season was the 90th season for the Washington Football Team and their second under head coach Ron Rivera. Some additions and changes include the team hiring Martin Mayhew as general manager and Marty Hurney as another high-ranking executive. With the hiring of Mayhew, who is black, Washington became the first team in NFL history to concurrently have a minority general manager, head coach, and team president. Ryan Kerrigan, the franchise's all-time sack leader, became a free agent in the offseason and played the year with division rival Philadelphia Eagles. Washington failed to improve upon their 7–9 record from the previous season, failed to repeat as division champions, and missed the playoffs for the fifth time in their past six seasons after a Week 17 home loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. NFC East
The National Football Conference – Eastern Division or NFC East is one of the four Division (sport), divisions of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). Ryan Kerrigan
Patrick Ryan Kerrigan (born August 16, 1988) is an American football coach and former outside linebacker and defensive end who is the assistant defensive line coach for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Purdue, where he was recognized as a unanimous All-American as a senior before being drafted by Washington in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Kerrigan played the majority of his 11-year career as an outside linebacker in the 3–4 defense, where he is the all-time NFL leader in consecutive starts by a left outside linebacker. He is also Washington's all-time leader in sacks and forced fumbles, recording 95.5 and 26 of them respectively during his 10 years with the team. The 2020 Minnesota Golden Gophers football team represented the University of Minnesota in the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. The 2020 Texas Longhorns football team represented the University of Texas at Austin during the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Longhorns played their home games at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas. They are a charter member of the Big 12 Conference.
