2021 Super Rugby Season
The 2021 Super Rugby season was the 26th season of Super Rugby, an annual men's international rugby union tournament organised by SANZAAR, involving teams from Australia and New Zealand. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the tournament was wholly regionalised, with the 2021 Super Rugby Aotearoa season and the 2021 Super Rugby AU season replacing the previous 15 side format used from 2018 till 2020. Super Rugby Trans-Tasman followed these tournaments, a crossover competition that featured the five Australian sides playing the five New Zealand sides. Competition format The five New Zealand sides competed in the 2nd Super Rugby Aotearoa season, while the four Australian sides, plus the addition again of the Western Force, competed in the 2nd Super Rugby AU season. The competition did not feature any South African sides who announced their withdrawal from Super Rugby in September 2020, while the Japanese side, the Sunwolves, was confirmed as leaving the league in March 2019. Alexander T O A. Hodgman (born 16 July 1993) is a New Zealand rugby union player who currently plays as a prop for in New Zealand's domestic Mitre 10 Cup and the in the international Super Rugby competition. Career Early career Born and raised in Auckland, Hodgman attended Mount Albert Grammar School in the city and was also a member of the under-18 program during that time. Josh Goodhue
Joshua K. Goodhue (born 13 June 1995) is a New Zealand rugby union player. Early career Goodhue was raised on a farm in the Northland Region of New Zealand along with older brother Cameron and twin brother Jack, who would both also go on to become professional rugby union players. He attended Mount Albert Grammar School in Auckland where he captained their top side to 17 victories in 20 games during the 2013 season. After finishing school, he took a short break to visit brother Cameron who was playing for Worcester Warriors in England at the time. National Rugby Championship
The National Rugby Championship, known as NRC, was an Australian rugby union competition. It was contested by eight teams, seven from Australia and one from Fiji. The tournament ran from 2014 until 2019 before being disbanded in 2020 following the change of the Australian rugby TV broadcasting deal from Fox Sports, who had funded the competition, to Stan Sport.
