2021 SANFL Season
The 2021 South Australian National Football League season (officially the SANFL Statewide Super League) was the 142nd season of the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), the highest-level Australian rules football competition in South Australia. The season commenced on 1 April and concluded with the Grand Final on 3 October. It was contested by 10 clubs, an increase of two on the previous season, due to the return of the and reserves teams. James Tsitas
James Tsitas (born 3 March 1995) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Gold Coast Suns in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early career Originally from Geelong, Victoria, he played for Grovedale Football Club as a junior, before joining the TAC Cup representative side Geelong Falcons. He would go undrafted in the 2013 AFL draft and would sign with the North Ballarat Football Club in the Victorian Football League, VFL. Prospect Oval
Prospect Oval is a sports stadium located at Menzies Crescent, Prospect, South Australia. The oval has a capacity of 20,000 people with seated grandstands holding approximately 2,000. An unusual feature of the oval is that it is laid out askew from the conventional orientation of Australian rules football and cricket ovals, with the goal posts located at the South-Western and the North-Eastern ends, and the cricket pitch running in the same direction. Matthew Broadbent (born 1 August 1990) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Fos Williams Medal
The Fos Williams Medal has been awarded since 1981 to the best Australian rules football player from South Australia during Inter-State or Inter-Competition matches. The medal is named in honour of legendary South Australian National Football League (SANFL) player and coach Fos Williams. Originally the award was made in respect of State of Origin matches.
