2021 Miami Hurricanes Baseball Team
The 2021 Miami Hurricanes baseball team represents the University of Miami during the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Hurricanes will play their home games at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They are led by head coach Gino DiMare, in his 3rd season at Miami. Previous season The 2020 Miami Hurricanes baseball team notched a 12–4 (3–0) regular season record. The season prematurely ended on March 12, 2020, due to concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic. Gino DiMare (born July 21, 1969) is the head baseball coach for the Miami Hurricanes baseball team at the University of Miami. DiMare played college baseball at the University of Miami under head coach Ron Fraser from 1989 to 1992 before pursuing a professional career. Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field is home field for the Miami Hurricanes baseball team at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida. The stadium holds a capacity of 5,000 spectators and is located on the University of Miami's campus in Coral Gables. The first game on the field was held on February 16, 1973. The field is named for Mark Light, whose father, University of Miami fan George Light, donated money for its construction. 2021 NCAA Division I Baseball Season
The 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 19, 2021. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2021 NCAA Division I baseball tournament and 2021 College World Series. The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska, at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, ended on June 30, 2021. Adrian Del Castillo
Adrian Jose Del Castillo (born September 27, 1999) is an American professional baseball catcher in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization. Amateur career Del Castillo attended Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami, Florida, where he played baseball. As a senior in 2018, he hit .527 with 15 home runs and 35 RBIs. He was selected by the Chicago White Sox in the 36th round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign and instead enrolled at the University of Miami.
