2021 Hammarby Fotboll Season
The 2021 season was Hammarby Fotboll's 106th in existence, their 52st season in Allsvenskan and their 7th consecutive season in the league. They competed in Allsvenskan, Svenska Cupen and Conference League during the year. League play started in April, initially behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic. Stefan Billborn made his fourth season as manager, but was sacked after eight rounds and replaced by Miloš Milojević. Summary On 30 May 2021, Hammarby IF won the 2020–21 Svenska Cupen, their first title in the main domestic cup, through a 5–4 win on penalties (0–0 after full-time) against BK Häcken in the final. On 11 June 2021, Hammarby decided to terminate manager Stefan Billborn's contract, with the club placed 8th in the 2021 Allsvenskan table after eight rounds. Hammarby Fotboll
Hammarby IF Fotbollförening, more commonly known as Hammarby Fotboll or Hammarby ( or, especially locally, ), is a Swedish football club from Stockholm founded in 1915. The club is based at Tele2 Arena in Johanneshov but founded in the neighbouring Södermalm district of Stockholm City Centre, an area the club considers its heartland. Competing in Sweden's first tier, Allsvenskan, Hammarby are placed tenth in the all-time Allsvenskan table, and has won the league once, in 2001. Aljoša Matko
Aljoša Matko (born 29 March 2000) is a Slovenian footballer who plays as a forward for Slovenian PrvaLiga club Celje. Early life Matko was born in Novo Mesto and grew up in Črnomelj. He began his career at the age of four with local club Bela Krajina, where he stayed for eight years. In 2013 he moved to Krka, before joining the youth academy of domestic giants Maribor in 2015. Darijan Bojanić (; born 28 December 1994) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for K League 1 club Ulsan Hyundai. Mohanad Abdulkadhim Qasim Al Jebur Jeahze ( ar, مهند جعاز, Muhanad Jihāz}; pronounced ; born 10 April 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as a left-back. Richard Göran Emil Magyar (; born 3 May 1991) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. In a 12-year career, he represented and captained both Halmstads BK and Hammarby IF in Allsvenskan, also spending time abroad with FC Aarau and Greuther Fürth. IK Sirius, more commonly known simply as Sirius, is a Swedish football club located in Uppsala. The club is affiliated to the Upplands Fotbollförbund. Trond Dennis Widgren (born 28 March 1994) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a left back for IK Sirius in Allsvenskan. Club career Östersunds FK Widgren started to play football at IFK Östersund, before moving to other local club Östersunds FK at age 14. He made his debut for their senior team in 2010. During Widgren's time at the club, Östersund won several promotions from Division 2, Sweden's fourth tier, to Allsvenskan, the highest division. Simon Christer Sandberg (born 25 March 1994) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a right back for BK Häcken in Allsvenskan. Early life Sandberg grew up in Partille and played both football, with the local club Björndammens BK, and handball during his youth. His father Dennis Sandberg is a professional handball coach. David Ousted Hansen (born 1 February 1985) is a retired Danish footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He played with SønderjyskE and Randers in the Danish Superliga, before moving to the Major League Soccer in 2013 where he went on to represent Vancouver Whitecaps, D.C. United and Chicago Fire.
