2021 Gatineau Municipal Election
A municipal election was held in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada on November 7, 2021, in conjunction with the 2021 Quebec municipal elections held on the same day. Elections will be held for Mayor of Gatineau as well as for each of the 19 districts on Gatineau City Council. Mayor Maxime Pedneaud-Jobin announced he would not be running for re-election. City council will expand by one seat, with the creation of the Mitigomijokan District out of parts of the Plateau and Deschênes Districts. Gatineau City Council
The Gatineau City Council (french: Conseil municipal de Gatineau) is the governing body for the mayor–council government in the city of Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. It is composed of 20 city councillors and the mayor. The mayor is elected at large, while each of the councillors represent districts throughout the city. Council members are elected to four year terms with the last election being the 2021 election. Manoir-des-Trembles-Val-Tétreau District
Manoir-des-Trembles-Val-Tétreau District (District 6) is a municipal district in the city of Gatineau, Quebec. It is currently served on Gatineau City Council by Jocelyn Blondin. The district is located in the Hull sector of the city. The district includes the western part of Hull, including the neighbourhoods of Birch Manor (Manoir-des-Trembles), Jardins-Alexandre-Taché, Val-Tétreau, Jardins-Mackenzie-King and part of Wrightville. The district was created for the 2013 election from parts of Plateau–Manoir-des-Trembles District and Hull–Val-Tétreau District. Rivière-Blanche District
Rivière-Blanche District (District 17) is a municipal district in Gatineau, Quebec. It is represented by Jean Lessard on Gatineau City Council. The district is named after the Blanche River, which flows through it. The district is centred on the historic Templeton Village in the east end of the city. The District also includes the neighbourhoods of Sainte-Rose, La Soblimière and much of Templeton-Est, including all of rural Templeton-Est north of Quebec Route 148 and east of the Blanche River. Lac-Beauchamp District
Lac-Beauchamp District (District 16) is a municipal electoral district in Gatineau, Quebec represented on Gatineau City Council. It is currently represented by Denis Girouard. The district is named after Lac Beauchamp, an artificial lake in this district. The district contains the southern half of Old Gatineau, the historic downtown of the Gatineau Sector of the city. Carrefour-de-l'Hôpital District
The Carrefour-de-l'Hôpital District (''English: Crossroads of the Hospital'') (District 13) is a municipal district in the city of Gatineau, Quebec. It is represented on Gatineau City Council by Olive Kamanyana. The district is located in the Gatineau sector of the city. Pointe-Gatineau District
Pointe-Gatineau District, formerly Promenades District (District 12) is a municipal district in the city of Gatineau, Quebec. It is represented on Gatineau City Council by Mike Duggan. The district is located in the Gatineau sector of the city. From 2001 to 2009 it included the neighbourhoods of Place Lucerne, Parc Maisonneuve, Val d'Oise and Le Barron. For the 2009 election, it gained La Baie while losing Val d'Oise and Le Barron. In 2011, it changed names from Promenades to Pointe-Gatineau For the 2013 election, the District will be gaining the District des Riverains, while losing all territory north of Highway 148.
