2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships was held from 4 to 7 March 2021 at the Arena Toruń in Toruń, Poland. This was the second time this event was held in Poland after the 1975 edition in Katowice. The four-day competition featured 13 men's and 13 women's athletics events. Altogether 659 athletes from 46 countries participated in the event which is a record in the competition's history. The Netherlands topped the medal table for the first time with four gold, one silver and two bronze medals. Katarzynka, a gingerbread, was the mascot. Mark English (born 18 March 1993) is an Irish Middle-distance running, middle-distance runner. Early life English's home town is Letterkenny in County Donegal. Guy Learmonth (born 20 April 1992 in Berwick-upon-Tweed) is a Scottish and Great British athlete specialising in the 800 metres. His PB currently stands as 1:44.73 and he is the 3rd fastest Scottish 800m athlete of all time. Joakim Anders Andersson (born 5 February 1989) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey centre who played in the for Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and with the Detroit Red Wings in the National Hockey League (NHL).
