2021 Edmonton Elks Season
The Edmonton Elks season was the 63rd season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 72nd overall. This was the first season that the team competed under a new name, as the "Eskimos" moniker was retired in 2020, and the new name "Elks" was announced on June 1, 2021. The team failed to qualify for the playoffs for the first time since 2018 Edmonton Eskimos season, 2018 following a week 14 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders on November 5, 2021. The team also finished the season without a home win for the first time in the team's 72–year history following that same home loss to the Roughriders. This was the fourth season under general manager Brock Sunderland. This would have been the first season under head coach Scott Milanovich, but he resigned from his position on January 25, 2021. West Division (CFL)
The West Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), its counterpart being the East Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the West Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The five teams in the West Division are the BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Elks, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. There were also two now-defunct teams from the mid 1990s United States expansion of the CFL who played in the West Division. Steven Christoffer Nielsen (born June 6, 1996) is a Danish professional gridiron football offensive lineman for the Raiders Tirol of the European League of Football (ELF). College career Nielsen played college football for the Eastern Michigan Eagles from 2016 to 2019. He played in 49 games over his four-year tenure with the team. The Iowa State Cyclones football program is the intercollegiate football team at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. The team is coached by Matt Campbell. Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. The Towson Tigers football team represents Towson University in the sport of American football. Tibo Debaillie (born 10 September 1997) is a Belgian professional gridiron football defensive lineman for the BC Lions of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at Towson. In gridiron football, a lineman is a player who specializes in play at the line of scrimmage.
