2021 CAF Women's Champions League Qualifying
Qualification for the 2021 CAF Women's Champions League began on 24 July 2021 within UNAF for North Africa and WAFU Zone A for West Africa and concluded on 4 September 2021 within COSAFA for Southern Africa. Qualification was situated within the 6 CAF sub-confederations. At the end of qualification, the qualified teams were reduced to the final 8 who would then proceed to the group stages of this edition of the tournament, which took place across two stadiums in Cairo, Egypt from 5 to 19 November 2021. These teams were composed of one winning team from each of the qualification competitions of the CAF sub-confederations ( WAFU is split into two zones), the host nation's league-winning team and, for this edition only, an additional team from the sub-confederation of the 2018 Women's Africa Cup of Nations champions. 2022 CAF Women's Champions League Qualification
Qualification for the 2022 CAF Women's Champions League began on 7 August and concluded on 15 September 2022. Qualification began COSAFA for Southern Africa and the CECAFA for mostly East Africa and a bit of Central Africa on 7 August 2022 and concluded on 16 September 2022. After qualification, the participating teams reduced to the final 8 which were made up of one winning team each from the 6 CAF sub-confederations ( WAFU is split into two zones), the tournament's defending champions and the host nation's league-winning team. These 8 teams would proceed to the main tournament phase which took place in Morocco. AS Mandé (women)
Association Sportive de Mandé is a Malian professional women's football club based in the capital city, Bamako. It currently plays in the Malian Women's Championship, the women's top tier of Malian football. The club is affiliated to AS Mandé, a men's team who previously played in the Malian Première Division. The club has won the women's championship in 2021 season. Vihiga is a town in Kenya located on the eastern side of the Kakamega Forest. Geography The town is along the road between Kisumu and Kakamega, and only five kilometres north of the equator. The 2019 Nigeria Women Premier League began July 24, 2019. The league was earlier scheduled to start in February, but due to logistic reasons and commencement of other competitions, it was postponed to March, May then later July. Prior to the start of the league, a congress was held in Abuja on June 27, with representatives from Nigeria Football Federation. Due to failure of some teams to pay their indemnities, the agreed date at the congress was shifted from July 17 to July 24. At the end of the 2018 Nigeria Women Premier League, Pelican Stars and Sure Babes were relegated to the lower division while Dream Stars Ladies and Invincible Angels gained promotion to the League. Bayelsa Queens returns as defending champions, while Kaduna Queens bought the slot of Jokodolu Babes to compete in the elite division.
