Idaho Central Arena
Idaho Central Arena (originally Bank of America Centre, formerly Qwest Arena and CenturyLink Arena) is a multi-purpose arena in the western United States, located in Boise, Idaho. Its seating capacity is 5,002 for ice hockey, 5,300 for basketball, 5,732 for end-stage concerts, 6,400 for boxing, and up to 6,800 for center-stage concerts. With 4,508 permanent seats, it was built for $50 million. In downtown Boise, its street level elevation is approximately above sea level. Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. The 2020–21 Idaho Vandals men's basketball team represented the University of Idaho in the Big Sky Conference during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by second-year head coach Zac Claus, the Vandals played their home games on campus at Memorial Gymnasium in Moscow, Idaho. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, home games were switched to venerable Memorial Gymnasium (1928).
