2021 Alpine Skiing World Cup – Men's Downhill
The Men's Downhill World Cup 2020/2021 involved seven events. Swiss skier Beat Feuz won his fourth consecutive season title in this discipline. The final had been scheduled for Wednesday, 17 March in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, and Austrian skier Matthias Mayer still had a slim mathematical chance of passing Feuz. However, three straight days of heavy snowfall caused the downhill finals to be cancelled, and so Feuz, who had won the two downhills on the Hahnenkamm in Kitzbühel, won the discipline's crystal globe. Beat Feuz (; born 11 February 1987) is a Swiss FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, World Cup Alpine skiing, alpine ski racer, specializing in the speed events of Downhill (ski competition), downhill and super-G. He is 2017 World champion and 2022 Olympic champion in downhill. In 2020–21 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, 2021, he won consecutive downhills on the famed Streif at Hahnenkamm, Kitzbühel, Kitzbühel. Vincent Kriechmayr
Vincent Kriechmayr (born 1 October 1991) is an Austrian World Cup alpine ski racer and specializes in the speed events of super-G and downhill. Kriechmayr is the 2021 world champion in both speed events, super-G and downhill. Career Born in Linz, Upper Austria, Kriechmayr made his World Cup debut in December 2010 at age nineteen. He achieved his first World Cup podium in March 2015, a runner-up finish in super-G at Kvitfjell, Norway. Travis Ganong (born July 14, 1988) is an American World Cup alpine ski racer and specializes in the speed events of downhill and super-G. Born and raised in Truckee, California, he competed for the U.S. at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, and placed fifth in the downhill at Rosa Khutor, 0.41 seconds behind the winner. Ganong gained his first World Cup victory on December 2014 in a downhill in Santa Caterina, Italy. Odermatt competed for Switzerland at two Junior World Championships and three World Championships. Urs Kryenbühl (born 28 January 1994) is a Swiss World Cup alpine ski racer, and specializes in the speed events of Downhill and Super-G. He is part of the Swiss-Ski national team . Ryan Cochran-Siegle (born March 27, 1992, nicknamed "RCS" ) is an American World Cup alpine ski racer and a member of the Skiing Cochrans family. Cochran-Siegle specializes in giant slalom and super-G, and also races in downhill and combined. He made his World Cup debut on November 26, 2011; his Olympic debut was in 2018, and he was the silver medalist in the Super-G in 2022. Carlo Janka (born 15 October 1986) is a Swiss former alpine ski racer. Born in Obersaxen, in the canton of Graubünden, he had the winter sports facilities right in front of his home. Janka has won gold medals at both the Winter Olympics and the World Championships, as well as one World Cup overall title, one discipline title and also, one unofficial alpine combined title. Max Franz (born 1 September 1989) is an Austrian World Cup alpine ski racer. Born in Klagenfurt, Carinthia, he focuses on the speed events of Downhill and Super-G. Career Franz made his World Cup debut in November 2009 at Lake Louise, Canada. Three years later, Franz made his first World Cup podium in November 2012, in the Downhill at Lake Louise.
