2021 ACC Women's Basketball Tournament
The 2021 ACC women's basketball tournament concluded the 2020–21 Atlantic Coast Conference women's basketball season, 2020–21 season of the Atlantic Coast Conference and was held at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, from March 3–7, 2021. 2020–21 NC State Wolfpack women's basketball team, NC State defended their title to earn the ACC's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Tournament. Seeds All of the ACC teams except Duke and Virginia participated in the tournament. The remaining teams were seeded by record within the conference, with a tiebreaker system to seed teams with identical conference records. Greensboro Coliseum Complex
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex, commonly referred to as Greensboro Coliseum (the first and biggest building on the site), is an entertainment and sports complex located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Opened in 1959, the complex holds eight venues that includes an amphitheater, arena, aquatic center, banquet hall, convention center, museum, theatre, and an indoor pavilion. The 2020–21 North Carolina Tar Heels women's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Tar Heels, were led by second year head coach Courtney Banghart, played their games at Carmichael Arena, and are members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Dana Evans (born August 1, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Sky of the Women's National Basketball Association. A two-time ACC Basketball Player of the Year at the University of Louisville, she was drafted with the 13th overall pick of the 2021 WNBA draft. Early life Evans grew up in Gary, Indiana, where although she did not play basketball until the fourth grade, she immediately excelled at it. Aisha Sheppard (born November 13, 1998) is an American professional basketball player. She was drafted and most recently played for the Las Vegas Aces in the WNBA. The ACC on Regional Sports Networks (also known as simply ACC RSN) is a package of telecasts produced by Raycom Sports, in cooperation with Bally Sports, featuring Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) college sports. The package is syndicated primarily to regional sports networks, with Bally Sports accounting for the majority of their affiliates. Out of market these telecasts air on ACC Network Extra through ESPN3.
