2020–21 Virginia Cavaliers Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Virginia Cavaliers men's basketball team represented the University of Virginia during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by head coach Tony Bennett (basketball), Tony Bennett in his 12th year and played their home games at John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Virginia, as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). 2019–20 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2019–20 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2019, followed by the start of the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play started in late December 2019 and concluded in March with the 2020 ACC men's basketball tournament at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The season marks 66th season of Atlantic Coast Conference basketball. The post season was cut short due to the COVID-19 outbreak. On March 12, the NCAA announced the tournament would be cancelled, along with all remaining winter and spring championships. Jabri Shareef Abdur-Rahim (born March 22, 2002) is an American college basketball player currently in the transfer portal. He previously played for the Providence Friars, the Virginia Cavaliers, and the Georgia Bulldogs. High school career Abdur-Rahim was raised in the Short Hills section of Millburn, New Jersey. Reece Avery Beekman (born October 8, 2001) is an American professional basketball player for the Brooklyn Nets of the National Basketball Association (NBA), on a two-way contract with the Long Island Nets of the NBA G League. The Rice Owls men's basketball program is the intercollegiate men's basketball program of Rice University. The program is classified in the NCAA's Division I, and the team competes in the American Athletic Conference.
