2020–21 Trabzonspor Season
The 2020–21 Trabzonspor season was the club's 53rd season in existence, all of which have been in the top flight of Football in Turkey, Turkish football. In addition to the 2020–21 Süper Lig, domestic league, Trabzonspor participated in this season's edition of the 2020–21 Turkish Cup, Turkish Cup. Trabzonspor did not complete in any UEFA club competitions, having been banned by the UEFA Club Financial Control Body on 3 June 2020 due to breaches of the UEFA Financial Fair Play Regulations. Trabzonspor
Trabzonspor Kulübü is a Turkish sports club located in the city of Trabzon. Formed in 1967 through a merger of several local clubs, the men's football team has won seven Süper Lig championships. Trabzonspor also have a women's football team, and used to have a men's basketball team. Trabzonspor are one of the most decorated clubs in Turkey. They have won seven Süper Lig titles and were the first non Istanbul-based club to win the league. They also have won nine Federation Cup (Turkish Cup) titles. The club won their first championship title in 1975–76, and won three championship titles in a row in the 1978–79, 1979–80 and 1980–81. They would add one more title in 1983-84 before embarking on a 38 year championship drought. This drought eventually came to an end after they secured the championship in 2021-22. Uğurcan Çakır
Uğurcan Çakır (born 5 April 1996) is a Turkish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Trabzonspor, whom he captains, and the Turkey national team. Club career 2015–16 season Uğurcan Çakır made his senior debut for Trabzonspor in a 1–0 loss against Rabotnicki Skopje in the UEFA Europa League qualifying stages. He would then play three matches in the Turkish Cup managing to keep two clean sheets. He then solidified himself as second choice keeper being on the bench until January, but never receiving an appearance in the Super Lig. Anders Trondsen (born 30 March 1995) is a Norwegian professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Allsvenskan club IFK Göteborg. Club career Trondsen made his debut for Lillehammer FK in the 2011 Norwegian Second Division. Vitor Hugo Franchescoli de Souza (born 20 May 1991), known as Vitor Hugo, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Greek Super League club Panathinaikos, on loan from Bahia.
