2020–21 Pakistan Federal Budget
The Federal budget 2020–2021 is the federal budget of Pakistan for the fiscal year beginning from 1 July 2020 and ending on 30 June 2021. The budget was presented in the Parliament by the Federal Minister Hammad Azhar. It is also called Corona budget as it was presented during the Corona Crisis. The government called the budget a Relief budget but major opposition parties PPP and PML-N called it People's enemy budget. Features The total size of the budget is billion. billion for defense, billion for education (7.9 per cent from higher than the last budget), billion were allocated for preventing coronavirus, billion for special economic zones. No new taxes were introduced in the budget. He was elected from NA-126 (Lahore-IV) in 2018 Pakistani general election and remained a member of National Assembly of Pakistan between August 2018 to April 2022. COVID-19 Pandemic In Pakistan
The COVID-19 pandemic in Pakistan is part of the ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 () caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (). The virus was confirmed to have reached Pakistan on 26 February 2020, when two cases were recorded (a student in Karachi who had just returned from Iran and another person in the Islamabad Capital Territory). Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Hussain Qureshi ( ur, ; born 22 June 1956) is a Pakistani politician who served as the 29th Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2018 to 2022. He previously held the post from 2008 to 2011.
