2020–21 Kansas State Wildcats Women's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Kansas State Wildcats women's basketball team represented Kansas State University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Wildcats were led by seventh-year head coach Jeff Mittie. They played their home games at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas and were members of the Big 12 Conference. They finished the season 9–18, 3–15 in Big 12 play to finish in a tie for ninth place. As the tenth seed in the Big 12 Tournament the defeated Texas Tech in the First Round before losing to West Virginia in the Quarterfinals. They were not invited to the NCAA tournament or the WNIT. Previous season The Wildcats finished the season 16–13, 10–8 in Big 12 play to finish in a tie for fourth place. They were scheduled to be the fifth seed in the Big 12 Tournament, but it was cancelled before it began due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Jeff Mittie
Jeffrey Dean Mittie (born June 24, 1966) is the current head coach of the Kansas State University women's basketball team. Baileyville, Kansas
Baileyville is an unincorporated community in western Nemaha County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the community and nearby areas was 182. It is located six miles west of Seneca on U.S. Route 36. History The community was founded as Haytown, then renamed by Willis J. Bailey and his father to Baileyville. In 1903, Willis became the 16th Governor of Kansas Willis J. Bailey. The first post office in Baileyville was established in 1880. As of 1902, Baileyville was reported to be one of two sundown towns in the state, where African Americans were not allowed to reside. Argyle is a town in Denton County, Texas, United States, with a population of 4,403 as of 2020. It is a suburb of Fort Worth. History The first European settlement, consisting of a few families, occurred in the Argyle area in the 1850s. The place was then known as Pilot Knob or Waintown. The settlement gradually acquired a few amenities in the late 1800s: a school in 1875, a Baptist church in 1876, and a post office in 1878. The community was formally founded and renamed Argyle in 1881, after the Texas and Pacific railroad built a track through the area.
