2020–21 Colgate Raiders Men's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Colgate Raiders men's basketball team represented Colgate University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Raiders, were led by tenth-year head coach Matt Langel, play their home games at Cotterell Court in Hamilton, New York as members of the Patriot League. With the creation of mini-divisions to cut down on travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they played in the North Division. They finished the season 14-2, 11-1 in Patriot League Play to finish as champions of the North Division. They defeated Boston University, Bucknell, and Loyola (MD) to be champions of the Patriot League tournament. They received the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament where they lost in the first round to Arkansas. Matt Langel
Matt Langel (born November 21, 1977) is the head coach for the Colgate Raiders men's basketball team. He previously served as an assistant for the Temple Owls men's basketball team for five seasons under Fran Dunphy. College career Langel attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he starred on the Quaker basketball team under coach Fran Dunphy. As a freshman, he helped the 1996–97 team finish with a record of 12–15 and 8–6 in the Ivy League. In Langel's sophomore year, the 1997–98 Quaker team went 17–12 and 10–4 in the Ivy. The 1998–99 team reached the 1999 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament after going 21–6 and 17–1 in conference.Penn Quakers 2009, p. 73. 2020 Patriot League Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2020 Patriot League men's basketball tournament was the postseason tournament for the Patriot League during the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. It was held on March 3, 5, 8, and 11, with the higher seed in each match up hosting at their respective campus sites. No. 3 seed 2019–20 Boston University Terriers men's basketball team, Boston University defeated 2019–20 Colgate Raiders men's basketball team, Colgate 64–61 in the championship game to win the conference tournament championship and the conference's automatic bid to the 2020 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. The NCAA Tournament would be subsequently canceled in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Northfield Mount Hermon School, often called NMH, is a co-educational preparatory school in Gill, Massachusetts, in the United States. It is a member of the Eight Schools Association. Kent School is a private, co-educational, college preparatory boarding school in Kent, Connecticut, United States. Frederick Herbert Sill established the school in 1906. It is affiliated with the Episcopal Church of the United States. Academics Kent School follows a trimester system, where a school year is divided into three terms—fall, winter, and spring.
