2020–21 CSA Women's Provincial Programme
The 2020–21 CSA Women's Provincial Programme was the 26th edition of South Africa's provincial one-day cricket tournament. The tournament was initially scheduled to begin in January 2021, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the format was changed. The tournament began in February 2021 and ran until April 2021, with teams competing in four groups, each located in a different city under COVID-19 protocols. Due to this, there was no overall winner. Competition format The 16 teams were divided into two tiers of two groups apiece. The top tier consisted of six teams, divided into Pool A and Pool B. Each team played each other team twice, therefore playing four matches overall. The second tier consisted of ten teams, divided into Pool C and Pool D. Cricket South Africa (CSA) is the governing body for both professional and amateur cricket in South Africa. Free State Women's Cricket Team
The Free State women's cricket team, previously known as Orange Free State women's cricket team, is the women's representative cricket team for the South African province of Free State. They compete in the Women's Provincial Programme and the CSA Women's Provincial T20 Competition. History The side first played as Orange Free State in the 1952–53 season of the Simon Trophy, losing in the final of the competition. As Free State, they first appeared in the 1996–97 season of the Women's Inter-Provincial Tournament, although the full results for the tournament are unrecorded. Not Out
In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Usually two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Batters further down the batting order than the not out batters do not come out to the crease at all and are noted as ''did not bat'' rather than ''not out''; by contrast, a batter who comes to the crease but faces no balls is ''not out''. Suné Elbie Luus ( , ; born 5 January 1996) is a South African professional cricketer, who plays for the national cricket team as a leg spin bowling all-rounder. The Northern Cape women's cricket team, previously known as Griqualand West women's cricket team, is the women's representative cricket team for the South African province of Northern Cape. They compete in the Women's Provincial Programme and the CSA Women's Provincial T20 Competition. History The side first competed in the South African domestic system in 1951–52, playing in the Simon Trophy as Griqualand West. They competed in that tournament for two seasons, before not playing until they joined the Caltrate Inter-Provincial Tournament in 1997–98. The KwaZulu-Natal Inland women's cricket team, also known as the Hollywoodbets Tuskers, is the women's representative cricket team for part of the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal, based primarily in Pietermaritzburg. The Easterns women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the South African region of East Rand. They compete in the Women's Provincial Programme and the CSA Women's Provincial T20 Competition. History Easterns Women first appeared in the 1997–98 season of the Caltrate Inter-Provincial Tournament, although the full results for the tournament are unrecorded. They compete in the Women's Provincial Programme and the CSA Women's Provincial T20 Competition.
