2020–21 Boston College Eagles Women's Basketball Team
The 2020–21 Boston College Eagles women's basketball team represented Boston College during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Eagles were led by third year head coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee. They played their home games at the Conte Forum and are members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Eagles finished the season 7–12 and 2–11 in ACC play to finish in a thirteenth place. In the ACC tournament, they defeated Pittsburgh in the First Round before losing to Syracuse in the Second Round. They were not invited to the NCAA tournament or the WNIT. Previous season The Eagles finished the season 20–12 and 11–7 in ACC play to finish in a tie for fourth place. As the sixth seed in the ACC tournament, they defeated Clemson in the Second Round and Duke in the Quarterfinals before losing to eventual champion NC State in Semifinals. Joanna Bernabei-McNamee
Joanna Lynn Bernabei-McNamee (born 1975) is an American college basketball coach who is currently head women's basketball coach at Boston College. Early life and education Born Joanna Lynn Bernabei in Weirton, West Virginia, Bernabei-McNamee graduated from Weirton Madonna High School in 1993. She helped Weirton Madonna win a girls' basketball state championship and also lettered in tennis and track at the school. After high school, she enrolled at West Liberty State College. A point guard, Bernabei-McNamee was a four-year all-WVIAC honoree and reached both 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her collegiate career. Westtown School is a Quaker, coeducational, college preparatory day and boarding school for students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, located in West Chester, Pennsylvania, United States, 20 miles west of Philadelphia. Douglassville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Amity Township in Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. Douglassville is situated along U.S. Route 422 and Pennsylvania Route 724. Shelton is a city in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 40,869 at the 2020 United States Census. History Origins Shelton was settled by the English as part of the town of Stratford, Connecticut, in 1639. Georgetown Hoyas Women's Basketball
The Georgetown Hoyas women's basketball team is women's basketball program in the NCAA Division I Big East Conference. They are currently coached by James Howard, the program's tenth coach, now in his second year. The team was first formed in 1970, and joined the Big East in 1983. They play their home games on campus at McDonough Gymnasium. The women's teams have been invited to the NCAA tournament four times, reaching the Sweet Sixteen in 1993 and 2011, and the second round in 2010 and 2012. They have been invited to the Women's National Invitation Tournament, five times, progressing furthest in 2009 by reaching the fourth round. Belle Glade, Florida
Belle Glade is a city in south-central Florida and it is the far western part of Palm Beach County, Florida, United States, on the southeastern shore of Lake Okeechobee. According to the 2010 U.S. Census, the city had a population of 17,467. Milan Bolden-Morris
Milan "Mimi" Bolden-Morris is a former basketball player for the Boston College Eagles and Georgetown Hoyas, and a former graduate assistant football coach for the Michigan Wolverines. Early life and education Bolden-Morris is from Belle Glade, Florida, and attended Cardinal Newman High School. Bolden-Morris's father, Michael, is a policeman and her mother, Melanie, is a high school principal. In high school, she was the president of her school's National Honor Society. Growing up, she played baseball, softball, and flag football.
