The 2021–22 Big South Conference men's basketball season started non-conference play on November 9, 2021, and began conference play on January 5, 2022. The regular season ended on February 26, 2022, setting up the 2021–22 Big South Conference men's basketball tournament from March 2 to March 6. Conference changes Due the offseason addition of the North Carolina A&T Aggies the Big South changed the conference play format. The conference was split into a north and south division. Chandler Vaudrin
Chandler Reed Vaudrin (born June 26, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Motor City Cruise of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Walsh Cavaliers and the Winthrop Eagles. High school career Vaudrin attended Lake High School in Uniontown, Ohio. He stood 5'10" as a freshman and grew to 6'6" by his senior year. Vaudrin was an All-Ohio Division I selection in his final two seasons. As a senior, he averaged 16.3 points and four rebounds per game, setting the school single-season record with 174 assists. Tommy Bruner (born April 22, 2001) is an American basketball player who just completed his collegiate career for the Denver Pioneers. He previously played for the USC Upstate Spartans and the Jacksonville Dolphins. High school career Bruner attended Gray Collegiate Academy in Columbia, South Carolina. He led Gray to back-to-back South Carolina Class AA state championships. As a senior, he averaged 16.2 points per game and was named the Class AA Player of the Year.
