2020 World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series – Women's Tour
The women's rugby sevens tournament in the World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series for 2020 was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament had been scheduled for 28–29 March 2020 in Stellenbosch, South Africa at the Danie Craven Stadium with twelve teams competing. It was intended to be the qualifying event for the World Rugby Sevens Series, with the winner gaining promotion as a core team for the 2020–21 season. World Rugby initially postponed the tournament without rescheduling a future date, before eventually cancelling it altogether. 2022 World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series – Women's Tour
The 2022 World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series – Women's tour was the inaugural season of the second-tier global competition for women's national rugby sevens teams. It was played as a single tournament on 12–14 August 2022 in Santiago, Chile at the Estadio Santa Laura with twelve teams competing. 2019 Africa Women's Sevens
The 2019 Africa Women's Sevens was a women's rugby sevens tournament held in Monastir, Tunisia on 12–13 October 2019. The tournament acted as qualification for the 2020 Hong Kong Women's Sevens, which in turns serves as a qualification tournament for the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series. The tournament also acted as qualification for the 2020 Summer Olympics. South Africa won the tournament and qualified for the Hong Kong Sevens along with Kenya. The 2019 Oceania Women's Sevens Championship was the ninth Oceania Women's Sevens tournament. It served as the regional qualifier for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Sevens and was held at ANZ Stadium in Suva, Fiji on 7–9 November. Australia won the tournament to claim their fifth Oceania Championship, defeating Fiji by 24–12 in the final. The 2019 Rugby Europe Women's Sevens Grand Prix Series was the 2019 edition of Rugby Europe's annual rugby sevens season.
