Bubba Schweigert
Kyle Frederick "Bubba" Schweigert (born September 15, 1962) is an American football coach. He is the current head football coach at the University of North Dakota. From 2004 to 2007, Schweigert served as the head football coach at University of Minnesota Duluth. From 2008 to 2013 he was the defensive coordinator at Southern Illinois University. Early coaching career Schweigert started his coaching career at his alma mater, Jamestown College—now the University of Jamestown. He coached football at Jamestown from 1985 to 1988 and was admissions counselor and the head baseball coach. In 1989, he began 15 seasons as an assistant coach at the University of North Dakota (UND), where he was part of eight NCAA playoff teams and six North Central Conference (NCC) title squads. The 2020 North Dakota State Bison football team represented North Dakota State University in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I FCS football season. They were led by second-year head coach Matt Entz. The team played in the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota, for the 28th season as members of the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC). They entered the season as defending national champions, having won eight of the prior nine FCS titles. Hancock Stadium is a 13,391-seat multi-purpose stadium in Normal, Illinois. It opened in 1963. It is home to the Illinois State University Redbirds football team as well as University High School. Central Catholic High School also played its games there through the 2004 season. History Opened in 1963 and named after Illinois State's former athletic director Dr. Howard Hancock.
