The 2020 New Mexico Democratic presidential primary took place on June 2, 2020, as one of eight delayed and regular primaries on the same day in the Democratic Party primaries for the 2020 presidential election. The New Mexico primary was a closed primary, with the state awarding 46 delegates to the 2020 Democratic National Convention, of whom 34 were pledged delegates allocated on the basis of the primary results. Michelle Lynn Lujan Grisham (; born October 24, 1959) is an American lawyer and politician serving as the 32nd governor of New Mexico since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, Lujan Grisham previously served as the U.S. representative for New Mexico's 1st congressional district from 2013 to 2019.
