2020 National League Play-off Final
The 2020 National League play-off Final , known as the Vanarama National League Promotion Final for sponsorship reasons, was a football match contested between Harrogate Town and Notts County to determine the second and final team to gain promotion from the National League to EFL League Two. It was played on 2 August 2020 at Wembley Stadium in London. The first-placed team of the 2019–20 National League season (Barrow) gained automatic promotion to the League Two, while the teams placed from fourth to seventh in the table took part in play-off quarter-finals and teams placed second and third received byes to the semi-finals. The winners of the quarter-finals advanced to play the teams in the semi-finals and the winners of these semi-finals competed for the final place in League Two. 2019–20 National League
The 2019–20 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, was the fifth season under English football's new title of National League, the sixteenth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-first season overall. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the National League season was initially suspended on 16 March 2020 until at least 3 April. On 31 March, this suspension was extended indefinitely until further notice. On 22 April, clubs voted to end the season, with promotions and relegations still "under careful consideration". Boreham Wood F
Boreham is a village and civil parish, in Essex, England. The parish is in the City of Chelmsford and Chelmsford Parliament constituency. James Michael Belshaw (born 12 October 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Harrogate Town. Career Youth & College Belshaw attended The Becket School in West Bridgford, where he captained the team to the Notts Schools Cup title in 2009. Connor Hall (born 23 May 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Colchester United. Hall began his career with Isthmian League side Bury Town, playing for the club from 2011 to 2016, apart from a short spell spent with St Neots Town in 2015. George Henry Thomson (born 19 May 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for side Harrogate Town. Career Born in Melton Mowbray, Thomson started his career at Nottingham Forest as a 12 year old in 2004 and was in their academy for six years. Meadow Lane Stadium is a football stadium in Nottingham, England. It is the home ground of Notts County, who have played there since it opened in 1910. Jonathan Jack Lyndan Muldoon (born 19 May 1989) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for club Harrogate Town. Career Non-League Muldoon started his career at home-town club Scunthorpe United as a winger, being released in his second year as a youth.
