2020 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Season
The 2020 NCAA Division I men's soccer season was the 62nd season of NCAA championship men's college soccer. The season was originally slated to begin on August 28, 2020 and conclude on November 15, 2020. The season was to culminate with the 2020 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament, which was to be held from November 18 to December 13, 2020, with the four-team College Cup at Meredith Field at Harder Stadium in Santa Barbara, California. On August 13, 2020, the NCAA Tournament was suspended due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Leading up to the postseason tournament suspension, some conferences had planned to play conference-only matches during the fall season, while some conferences opted to postpone the season to Spring 2021 (February to May 2021). Gloire Amanda (born November 11, 1998) is a professional soccer player who currently plays for Whitecaps FC 2. Born in Tanzania, he represented Canada at youth international level. Early life Amanda was born in the Nyarugusu refugee camp to Congolese parents. His family moved to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, when he was 8 years old. Kevin Nylen (born August 14, 1981) is an American former soccer defender and current head coach of the Boston University Terriers men's soccer team. Playing career Nylen attended Saint Anselm College from 1999 to 2003. During this time he earned the school's Male Athlete of the Year honor, awarded annually to one student-athlete who best exemplifies the Saint Anselm spirit in leadership, scholarship and athletic achievements. Elmar Bolowich (born July 10, 1954) was most recently head coach of the George Mason Patriots men's soccer team at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, United States. Greg Andrulis (born February 15, 1958) is an American retired soccer coach. Andrulis grew up in Litchfield, Connecticut where he graduated from Litchfield High School in 1976. He was an All-State high school soccer and basketball player and was inducted into the Litchfield High School Hall of Fame in 2007. He then attended Eastern Connecticut State University where he was a goalkeeper on the school's soccer team. He graduated in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Ricardo "Kiki" Lara (born July 24, 1981, in Las Cruces, New Mexico) is an American former soccer player who last played for the USL First Division side Portland Timbers and currently works as head coach of the Incarnate Word Cardinals. The Incarnate Word Cardinals, also known as UIW Cardinals, are composed of 23 teams representing the University of the Incarnate Word in intercollegiate athletics, including men and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis, and track and field.
